How do I sign up?
After you reach out, I'll contact you and plan a digital chat. If there's a click and you're both open to it, we'll plan a more in-depth conversation, either recorded for the podcast or written up for the book, depending on what you're comfortable with.

What happens after I sign up?
Digital chat: around 20 - 30 minutes
Interview: usually around 60 - 75 minutes

How long does the conversation take?
I speak English, Dutch and Cantonese fluently. But don’t let language be a barrier, we’ll find a way!

Can I withdraw after our conversation, even before anything is published?

What happens to my information if I'm not selected or decide to step back?

If you are not selected for the book and you don’t agree to do a podcast, your information will simply be deleted and never used or shared further.

Do I get paid for sharing my story, now or in the future?

No. Participation is entirely voluntary and unpaid, both now and if the project grows into something bigger later on (such as a published book, podcast series, or other format).
By taking part, you agree that your story may be used, including commercially, without financial compensation.

Does the birth year matter, or just the day and month?

Yes, actually the birth year is the most important part. Because my whole project is based on the fact that people have the same starting point. To participate you must be born on June 13, 1976.
I know someone who was born on June 13, 1976, but no longer with us. Can I sign up?

Yes, absolutely. The stories of those who are no longer here are incredibly important and deserve to be told. I would be honored to get in touch with you.
What if multiple people share my birthday and sign up?

I will contact everyone who reaches out. I can make a podcast of every story, but for my book I have to make choices if there are many birthday twins signing up for this project.
How do you handle my privacy and personal data?

Your privacy is sacred to me. All information and stories shared through this website are handled in strict compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR). Your data is stored in a secure, private environment. Nothing from your story, name, or photos will ever be used for the podcast, cookbook, or social media without us signing an official, written agreement beforehand. You retain full control until the very last moment.
